Camping

We go camping twice a year, in the fall and the spring. These are regional campouts and attended by hundreds of Scouts from the area. We will camp together as a Pack, but join the others for favorite camp activities, such as hiking, fishing, bb guns, archery, slingshots, and more.  Saturday night, we’ll enjoy a campfire with the others in attendance and roast marshmallows for fresh s’mores.

These are “car camping” style events.  You’ll be able to park at our Pack campsite.  We will sleep in tents on Saturday night.  If you do not have a tent, we have a limited number of loaner tents.  Please let a Pack leader know if you need to borrow a tent.  You provide your own sleeping bags, quilts, or whatever you plan to use while sleeping. Don’t forget your toothbrush, mess kit, sunscreen, rain jacket…here’s a handy list: https://filestore.scouting.org/filestore/pdf/34-49.pdf

The Pack will provide lunch and supper on Saturday, and breakfast on Sunday.  There will be snacks throughout the day and special camp desserts on Saturday night.

Scouts must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.  Siblings are welcome, it is a family campout.  Attendees may not share a tent with anyone that is not a family member. We must have a medical form for everyone attending, including parents and siblings.

Our Cubmaster will register all attendees as a group, so there is no need for individual registrations.  If you have sold popcorn, Scout account balances are up-to-date and can be used for payment.  Otherwise, the Pack accepts cash, cards, or checks made out to Cub Scout Pack 22.
