Fun with P22

You cannot take the Outing out of Scouting. We attempt to have at least one outing per month, ranging from service projects, to Scout Sunday, to camping, to day hikes. The goal of all of our events is for your children to spend quality time with their families, and to learn about leadership, service, and personal challenges. All of our events are planned so a novice can attempt — we ask merely that everyone “Do Their Best,” and we will make it work for you.

“Kid, you’ll move mountains! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting. So get on your way!” — Dr. Seuss

Our activities are age appropriate, and planned to grow more challenging as your children age. Our Lions and Tigers may start with a relatively level hike to a waterfall, and our Webelos will complete a 900 foot elevation change to a mountain’s ridge line. Through it all, your Scouts, and your entire families get to feel the accomplishment of meeting a challenge, in an encouraging and nurturing environment of trained leaders.

“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you use. You’re own your own. And you know what you know. Any YOU are the guy who’ll decide where to go.” — Dr. Seuss

Pack 22 is open to whole families. Bring your younger siblings. It’s fun for our older Scouts to teach younger people what they have learned, and it is the Scouting Method put into action.

Younger siblings may love outings even more than our Scouts.

By the time your child ends their time with us, we hope to have them trained as a servant leader, where they can excel in the classroom, in the community, and in the workforce as they grow. What we learn in Scouting is that leadership takes a lifetime to develop, but our process is fun and effective, and your children will never unlearn the lessons they pick up.

Cub Scouts get the chance to lead in participate in Trinity’s annual Scouting Ministries service, with Webelos Scouts leading the Children’s Moment and Pastoral Prayers.
